How This Place Works

Membership:

The idea was never to make this diary seem like an exclusive club, because it is not. The membership is not closed, but will grow and shrink organically with the comings and goings of diaries/diarists who spark attention or fade away. At present, the people who can post here can do so because they were suggested and considered by members of a certain convocation of people who choose to remain nameless.

We didn't even ask these people if they wanted to participate, nor did they make the request of us. Admittedly, we didn't even inform them personally that they could. We simply put them on the list and have allowed them to find their own ways here and make use of this space if they choose (and at their own pace), hoping that they would eventually leave their marks.

In that sense, there isn't really an application process. When someone is added, it generally happens quietly and, most usually, in the middle of the night.

Posting:

This is a journal for posting things you like. Simple as that. They can be great things or small things. They can be sacred or profane. If you like it, it belongs here. There are no real rules; if you have posting permission then you are free to post whenever and whatever you like (or not to post at all).

We do ask that you make the short description field the same as the entry field so that the titles show up as a list on the archive pages, but even that is something which can be changed from this side of the journal.
